Liechtensteinische Landesbank (Switzerland) Ltd. – Jörg Klar succeeds Patrik M. Paulus as Chairman of the Board of Management

Vaduz, Zurich, 24 June 2010. In accordance with a carefully prepared succession plan, the Board of Directors of Liechtensteinische Landesbank (Switzerland) Ltd. has appointed Jörg Klar as the Chairman of the Board of Management. From 1 November 2010, he will succeed Patrik M. Paulus, who is to take over a new function as Chairman of the Board of Directors at a Family Office, in which the Liechtensteinische Landesbank holds an equity stake.

Jörg Klar has extensive experience in international private banking. He was active for several years at a large Swiss bank and at a Liechtenstein private bank. Jörg Klar joined the LLB Group in 2008, where as the project head, and since its opening in November 2009, as a member of the Executive Board, he made a significant contribution to the successful development and launch of Liechtensteinische Landesbank (Österreich) AG. "I am very pleased that with Jörg Klar we have been able to gain an experienced leader and a proven private banker to succeed Patrik M. Paulus. Patrik M. Paulus is to step down as Chairman of the Board of Management on 1 November 2010, and is to take over a new role as Chairman of the Board of Directors at a Family Office in which the Liechtensteinische Landesbank holds an equity stake. "Patrik M. Paulus has been Chairman of the Board of Management of Liechtensteinische Landesbank (Switzerland) Ltd. since 1 November 2001, where he played a major role in establishing and expanding the bank's business activity. The LLB would like to thank Patrik M. Paulus for his valuable services to the bank, and looks forward to a continuation of its positive cooperation with him within the scope of his new function", expressed Elfried Hasler in appreciation of Patrik M. Paulus' services. Under his leadership Liechtensteinische Landesbank (Switzerland) Ltd. has achieved dynamic growth. In 2005 it opened a representative office in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) and in 2006 a bank branch in Lugano.

On 1 November 2010, Jörg Klar will take over his new function as Chairman of the Board of Management of Liechtensteinische Landesbank (Switzerland) Ltd., and step down as a member of the Executive Board of Liechtensteinische Landesbank (Österreich) AG.
