LLB awarded "Friendly Work Space" label

Vaduz, 28 October 2020. The Liechtensteinische Landesbank AG (LLB) is the first financial institution in Liechtenstein to successfully pass the assessment carried out by Health Promotion Switzerland. Since 27 October 2020, the LLB has been allowed to call itself a "Friendly Work Space". The award for its outstanding occupational health management underscores the LLB's strong and targeted commitment to good and healthy working conditions for its employees.

Award for occupational health management

"Friendly Work Space" sets the Swiss quality standard for systematically implemented occupational health management (OHM). To be awarded the label, a company must meet very extensive criteria – for example, OHM and corporate policy, aspects of human resources and work organisation, and social responsibility. OHM must be integrated into management systems and performed as a management task. Work structures that promote personality and health are another prerequisite for receiving the award. 81 organisations throughout Switzerland currently bear the "Friendly Work Space" label. In Liechtenstein, the LLB is the first company in the financial sector and the second overall to receive this award.

Group CEO Roland Matt says, commenting on the successful result, "Professional occupational health management is key to respectful treatment of employees and reflects our corporate culture, our guiding principles, and our values. We put OHM into authentic practice at all levels. We are delighted about the award and proud to be a 'Friendly Work Space'."

In its report on the results, Health Promotion Switzerland states, "The LLB's occupational health management is characterised by a straightforward, needs-oriented approach. It is vibrant, integrated, and has its finger on the pulse of the needs of its employees and the company." In their evaluation, the external assessors also emphasise that health-related aspects are taken into account in numerous HR processes, the infrastructure, and employee offerings at the LLB. This can be seen, for example, in personnel selection, in targeted employee-focused development and promotion, and in the wide range of basic and continuing training opportunities.
