  • Investments can be made in seven selected topics along the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) to support sustainable companies in a targeted manner.
  • Clients benefit from LLB’s outstanding financial track-record of over 160 years as well as from very attractive terms and conditions.

The wiLLBe app is available now for downloading from the App Store and the Google Play Store.

Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LLB) has launched the digital asset manager wiLLBe (www.willbe-invest.ch) for sustainable investing that makes a positive impact. With wiLLBe, savers and investors can invest sustainably and are supported by LLB’s award-winning asset management and over 160 years of banking experience. wiLLBe aims to offer investment opportunities that make a sustainable impact and generate corresponding returns.

Dr. Gabriel Brenna, Group CEO at LLB, explains:

We are proud to present wiLLBe, an exclusively digital, simple, professional and affordable solution for everyone to invest sustainably and make a real impact for a better world through their own investments.”

The app for investing and doing good — for the world of tomorrow

The wiLLBe app is now available in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. wiLLBe users can invest in seven selected topics based on the seventeen UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs): clean energy, health and medicine, sustainable living and working, education and equal opportunities, climate and environmental protection, clean water and sustainable use of resources. The wiLLBe app highlights the measurable impact of the investments. Investors can make an additional contribution with a performance-related donation by directly supporting selected non-profit organisations (NPO).

wiLLBe offers easy access to the world of investing – without specialist knowledge and with just a few clicks. From as little as CHF 2,000, each individual investor can make a tangible contribution to more sustainable development. At the same time, investors benefit from LLB’s award-winning, 160 years of financial expertise. wiLLBe operates with an attractive fixed annual fee of 0.49 percent on assets under management plus external costs, which are listed on the website. In the case of 2,000 Swiss francs, for example, it amounts to just 9.80 francs in fees per annum.

Award-winning LLB team of experts determines optimal return opportunities

The LLB Asset Management team continuously analyses the pick of equities and investments from an overall perspective. Selected companies champion a sustainable world and are economically robust. Companies associated with the following are excluded: Environmental pollution, discrimination, child labour, controversial products, disregard for human rights, nuclear weapons, anti-personnel mines and cluster munitions, weapons of all kinds, and forced labour.

State-of-the-art technology deployed by wiLLBe is used to create a bespoke portfolio for investors in line with their investment strategy and their personal favourite topics. The wiLLBe app shows precisely and transparently at all times how the individual portfolio is performing financially as well as in terms of sustainability criteria such as global temperature rise, CO₂ emissions and energy consumption.

Partnerships for measurable impact: Mercy Ships, Compensators and Aiducation

Within the meaning of reciprocal knowledge transfer, LLB cooperates with non-profit organisations (NPO) that supplement in-house efforts in the core topics. LLB currently has partnerships with Mercy Ships, Compensators and Aiducation.

Wolfgang Mair, Head of Digital Business Models at LLB, says:

We are looking for partners who share our values and have in-depth expertise when it comes to making the world more sustainable. This is precisely what our partner organisations stand for.”

Anyone who invests with wiLLBe can donate a defined proportion of the profit generated in the wiLLBe portfolio to these select partners, thereby contributing to a more sustainable world. Thanks to a donation receipt, investors can also lower their tax burden by this means. This combination of generating return opportunities and making performance-related donations is new to the Swiss and Liechtenstein investment markets.
